I installed a bunch of stuff:
- OEL 5 (available from linux.oracle.com)
- Oracle database 11g R2 (from this page on www.oracle.com)
- WebLogic Server (from this page on www.oracle.com)
- The IdM stack (Identity Management from this page on www.oracle.com)
If you are installing on OEL 5 you should use the the Oracle public YUM server at http://public-yum.oracle.com/. Follow the instructions there, then just run "yum install oracle-validated". The oracle-validated package handles all of the dependencies for Oracle Database including tweaking your kernel configuration settings!
Then you "just" have to run the RCU, install WebLogic and OIF.
